When the sun came... up that day I thought I'd say...
A word or two about a certain something.

I got started towards the park, The sky grew dark
I met her on the street and she were peaking...she said:

Because I know that you only love yourself


When the words came... out that day I meant to say...
A word or two about how I was feeling.

But I stammered and I choked
I remembered the words you wrote
I offered you my hand and you turned away...and said:

And don't tell me that you love me
Because I know that you only love yourself


When the rain came... down that day I knelt and prayed
I had to ask for strength with which to greet it

Whispering anger And mincing words
Did I mistake the things I heard
Listen now as I repeat it:

Because I know that you only love yourself


When the moon came... up that day
I thought I'd say...
A word or two without much meaning.

I think I got it; I think I know
I will always remember and 
and try to let go...and say:
